Gertrud Købke Sutton is a Danish art historian, born in Viborg 1921 and graduated from Københavns Universitet. She is the author of numerous books about art and artists and worked as an influential arts critic for Danish newspapers like Weekendavisen and Information. She was chairman for the Society of Danish Arts Critics and reviewer of Scandinavian art for Burlington Magazine. In 1983 with Torben Glarbo and Anne Vinterberg she also directed a documentary about the Danish sculptress Sonja Ferlov Mancoba. In 1961 she married medieval age archaeologist Tage E. Christiansen (died 1984). She lived in England 1951-60, married to art historian Denys Miller Sutton.
