Braden Butler was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK where he lived until the summer of 2017. He then moved to Edmonton, Alberta to train in the BFA Acting program at the University of Alberta. Braden's love for performing became apparent at an early age when his family couldn't sit through such Disney classics as Snow White or Sleeping Beauty without experiencing his side along renditions of the entire show. Before moving to Edmonton he worked for several TYA companies in his hometown, trained in the Young Company at Persephone Theatre, and was heavily involved in the Fringe Theatre Festival for over four years. Upon moving to Edmonton he studied singing with Kim Mattice-Wanat of Opera Nuova and received his Basic Actor Combatant certification through Fight Directors Canada with the eminent Jean-Pierre Fournier. In addition to his professional theatre work, Edmonton is where he first began working in film. His work has been seen in Western Canada and, most recently, Prague. Braden looks forward to completing his conservatory training in the spring of 2020 where he will continue to pursue a career in Theatre, Film, and Television.
