Idris Carolina Valenzuela was born in Guaymas Sonora, Mexico to her parents Olga and Dante. Idris arrived in the United States when she was only six years old moving to the state of Washington. Idris has been in love with acting and the magic of movie making since she can remember. From only four years old, she has fond memories of what her mom would say pulling pranks on her, but Idris remembers those early moments of her acting. From a young age, she felt different from those around her in her desire to have to artistically express herself. From age ten she would write up skits for her and her cousins to perform in front of their family. She would write a skit, cast her cousins to be apart of the show, hold rehearsals, pick costume pieces for each of them, and gather the family to watch them perform. Little did she know she was writing, producing, directing, and starring her own little show. Idris remembers those times as strong desires inside of her, this simple need to have to express herself and entertain people. Growing up, Idris would spend hours upon hours watching actor interviews, movies, shows, and always felt like they were speaking to her. With each movie, show that she watched she became more drawn to the world of acting. In 2009, she watched "Invictus," and says that the way Morgan Freeman played Nelson Mandela is what inspired her acting career to begin. At the age of 17 Idris attended, Bellevue College briefly where she took Drama classes and she finally felt like she belonged. There she found herself and discovered the world of acting. She went on to take acting classes in the area of Seattle, where she gained valuable experience and fell deeper in love with the art of acting. Idris went on to work with many talented people in the area and portrayed incredible characters such as Sheri on, "Watching Her," and much more. Idris continues to follow that desire inside of her that pushes her to express herself artistically and her strong passion of storytelling.
