Charalambos Margaritis was born in 1985 in Cyprus. He graduated from the National Superior Fine Arts School of Paris (ENSBA) in 2012. His work is centered around printmaking, animated films, drawing and painting. In 2010 he studied the traditional icon painting techniques in the Mount Athos, where he resided for three months. He taught drawing and animated film techniques to children and adults, through various workshops in France and Cyprus. He has participated in various art exhibitions in France and in Cyprus. He regularly collaborates with musicians for the creation of concerts accompanied by projections of animated films. He has created (alone and in collaboration with others) video clips for several musicians in Greece and in France His films were selected and screened in many festivals around the world and have received a variety of awards. In 2015 he co-founded the Kimonos Art Center in Paphos, Cyprus. He has been living in Cyprus since 2015 where he teaches printmaking, animation and comics. In 2017 he founded the independent international short animated film festival The Animattikon Project.
