Dedrick Weathersby

Dedrick Weathersby is a Longview Texas native who is now a San Francisco resident. Weathersby is a 2017/2018 Broadway World Awards Nominee for Best Lead Actor in a Musical, Best Lead Actor in a Play, and Best Solo Performance. As a child, his dream was to become a professional actor/singer and impact the world and his community through his storytelling and music. Years and dreams later, he is living that dream and still has more to do. His start was from Pinewood Park Elementary in the Nutcracker, under the direction of Mrs. Delia Williams. Dedrick is a proud member of Actors Equity Union. He recently released his debut album titled "Remembering James Brown" which is now available on all platforms. Weathersby's one man show "Remembering James", starring himself, will debut in February 2019 at The Boxcar Theatre in San Francisco, CA. "Remembering James" tells the story of The Godfather of Soul, James Brown. From his early days first starting out and spanning nearly two decades. Dedrick is a firm believer, if you remember those humble beginnings, you can use each moment for future endeavors.
