Betty was a soulful musician playing the piano, organ, and fender rhodes for many well-known acts. Betty was funny, feisty, sweet, and beautiful. She was often asked to sing, model, and dance on variety shows. Betty married Roger Hamilton Spotts and had one daughter, Woni Spotts. The birth was a pleasant surprise and would be their only child. After becoming a mother, Betty began volunteering and working traditional jobs like banking and as a pari-mutual employee.
