Born in Lisbon and based in NY, Victor Castro grew up on the beaches of Southern Portugal and skateboarding through Lisbon's south side. His uncanny ability to dismantle and reconstruct the world has bounced him around the globe as a musician, a highly coveted international sound engineer, music producer and film director. Never afraid to try something new, Victor chased his dreams into the film and music industry.At the age of 21, he studied music production and sound engineering at ETIC and further at the SAE Institute, becoming a recognized sound designer and music director in these lines for the Portuguese market. Living in the heart of New York City, he completed the film production and directing programs at the New York Film Academy. Stepped behind the camera lens and made his directorial debut in 2011, working immediately on TV Commercials and branded content productions for national and international brands and clients. He's the creative mind behind well known international artists, seeing himself as a Visual Artist, Director, Photographer and Sound Shaper. Victor loves to play guitar in his punk rock band D77, and recording his own music albums. He has been touring the world with bands as a musician or live FOH mixer since 1996. His premise in life is to challenge himself constantly, so over the last couple of years, in between Band Tours and TV commercials, he has directed several Music Videos; Band Live Music DVD's; he has also directed his first Rockumentary called "Lisbon Under The Spell", feature Documentaries such as "Road To Extinction" and "Koshukuru; two short documentaries "Phil Mendrix" and "Héroes Terrenales". Right now his working on the pre-production of his first Crime TV Series. Victor's most passionate about being the husband of a New York writer and father of two daughters, Bianca and Valentina. He claims to be a very easy tiger.
