Eric Bowman passed away peacefully on June 15 after a year long battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. At his bedside were his wife Cyndie and his two beloved dogs, Jake and Katy. Eric was born in High Point, NC and grew up in Chapel Hill, NC. He is the son of Hague Bowman and Avie Gunn Bowman (deceased). Eric graduated from Ravenscroft School in Raleigh, NC where he was recruited to play football. He had fond memories of the many friends he had while at Ravenscroft. Upon graduation he attended Virginia Military Institute, where he received a scholarship to play quarterback on the football team, and then transferred to NC State University to complete his college career. Eric was a huge Wolfpack fan. He moved to South Florida over twenty years ago to work for American Airlines. During that time he attended Culinary Arts School, at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, with aspirations to someday own a restaurant of his own. It would have been called "Bowman's Barbeque". He is survived by his wife Cyndie of Plantation, FL, his father Hague Bowman, brothers Tony (Ronda) and Keith (Christy) all of Chapel Hill, NC as well as numerous friends and relatives who care deeply for him. Gone way too soon, Eric will be severely missed.
