Serai Ballmann, daughter of German emigrants, is a Physical Theater artist who was born on a small island in Spain, surrounded by nature. Thanks to the influences of her father (a painter) and her mother (a Yoga teacher), she soon developed a sensitivity for contemplation, an appreciation of detail, and musical and physical awareness. Serai decided to leave the island in order to grow personally and artistically, moving to Madrid, where she graduated in Visual Arts and Physical Theatre. She completed her training with various professionals both in the field of contemporary dance (Matej Matejka, Guillermo Weickert, Lucia Marote, Pau Aran, Humanhood, etc.), and in cinema and theater (Carmen Utrilla, Steven Icvich) ... She has participated as a Physical Theatre actress in different projects in collaboration with Constanza Macras (Berlin), with the Alicia Alonso University Dance Institute (Madrid, Segovia, Soria, Salamanca), with Alberto Trijueque (RESAD Madrid, Bulgaria), with El Manicomio (Madrid)... In addition, she has worked as an assistant director at "The English Theater" in Berlin, as a playwright for Müller Machine ("Segovia en Danza" Festival), and she has played as an actress in various short films and video-clips. Serai is the co-founder and artistic creator of the SerendipiArte Physical Theatre company (2018).
