Fernanda Friedrich

Fernanda Friedrich is an award-winning writer and director from Brazil. Over the last 15 years, she wrote for TV, Films, Magazines, Newspaper, Academic Journals and Books. Friedrich has a Ph.D. in Film and Television Studies and an MA in English Literature and Cinema. As a filmmaker, she has worked in Brazilian films and television shows. She wrote, directed and produced two international award-winning films that were recognized by their public relevance in dealing with collective social issues. As a professor, Dr. Friedrich worked in three acknowledged Universities in Brazil, teaching about film, creativity, and writing. She worked as a visiting researcher at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada, investigating the portrayal of female characters in sitcoms.
