Originally from Quebec City, Alex Lapointe began his career in media as a web columnist for Expoze.TV in 2014. He also piloted a sports news radio show on CHYZ 94.3 FM that same year. He has a bachelor's degree in public communication from Laval University and is a graduate of the radio and television school Promédia in Montreal. During this training in 2016, he was awarded the Grand Prix Pierre Dufault, given to the student who had distinguished himself the most during the session, as well as the Award for the best television host. Between 2016 and 2017, he was a researcher for the programs Sucré-Salé on TVA, Le Goût de l'Amour on Canal Vie and Coup de Foudre on V. He was also a radio host at CIBL 101.5 FM for the program 100% Franco for more than a year. In the summer of 2019, Alex was a columnist on the popular summer show Sucré-Salé on TVA. Since 2017, Alex Lapointe has produced and directed some fifteen viral comedic sketches on Facebook and Youtube, accumulating more than 5 million views to date. He is currently a web host for Montreal.TV, NIGHTLIFE and LACLIQC. His cultural columns are always presented with a sarcastic and irreverent humor. In addition to TV animation, Alex Lapointe leads a parallel career in comedy as he regularly does stand-up comedy in Montreal's bar circuit.
