Martin Elfrey was born in Stratford, New Jersey as Martin Rosenheim. He was later adopted by his step father and given the name Elfrey. He has 3 sisters: Cheryl Harvey, Lori Rosenheim-Capel and Michelle Rosenheim-Costenbender also two brothers Nicholas "Nick" Rosenheim and Jeffrey Elfrey. Martin never completed a grade higher than 6th grade but earned his GED while in the US Navy. Martin served in the Navy as a SeaBee, the Navy's non-maritime combat engineering and construction unit. After his Naval service ended he moved to Texas to pursue greener pastures. At the age of 24 Martin passed the notoriously difficult test to become one of the youngest Master Electricians to do so. With $500 and that GED in hand Martin started his own electrical contracting firm which ultimately became a multi-million dollar business which employed upwards of 75 people on average. After 20 plus years in business, family and personal tragedy struck and Martin was forced to reevaluate his life having lost the passion of running his business as a result of facing mortality. In 2018 Martin was invited to participate in the production of Sons of Thunder and took the position of CFO for Red State Entertainment, Inc. Exposure to the work of producing TV and Movies caused a new found excitement for work again and now Martin has devoted all of his efforts to the pursuit of learning everything about the business, including becoming an actor.
