Steven

Steven Simpson grew up in the small hamlet of Fort Vermilion in northern Alberta. His life on the family farm was one of ease - his allergies making the laborious farm work impossible and the vast space and resources a rich ground for cultivating his imagination. Stevens large family and dear friends provided an audience (voluntary and not) for short skits and various shows which fostered his performing spirit. This spirit was cultivated in high school and pushed him to head to University for acting. A graduate of the BFA Acting program at Trinity Western University Steven Simpson spent nearly all 4 of those years in the theatre - appearing in shows such as Comedy of Errors, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Diary Of Anne Frank, Copenhagen, Twelfth Night, SMASH, A Kind of Alaska and The Butterfingers Angel. Since then Steven has been fervently working on various film and theatre projects in the lower mainland. A fan of character and movement based performance, Steven spends his time hitting the gym, dancing, and is continually self narrating his life (upholding the crazy actor stereotype). He is a fan of music, hiking, all sorts of outdoor activity, and all sorts of ice cream - fortunately they tend to counterbalance each other. Steven looks ahead to a bright future in performance - taking life one day at a time.
