Lydia Reid

Lydia Reid is a London/Kent based Director and Animator. She enjoys delving into themes of self-love, gender and freedom. She mixes analogue and digital techniques and often use a free, spontaneous approach to her practice to correlate with her themes. She creates characters based on real people that she sees in everyday life, so that the audience can empathise, relate and connect to them in some way. She uses humour in her work to counteract the sometimes serious topics that she discusses. She is most known for Directing and Animating the film You're Fit (2019).
