Armando Grant

Armando Grant is a Scottish-American and Mexican actor, performance artist and filmmaker. He speaks both English and Spanish natively, and is fluent in French and Norwegian. He has worked as an actor for theatre, film and performance art in France and Mexico - as well as in advertising campaigns in Latin America for brands such as Bumble, Huawei and Hyundai. He has studied extensively with renowned acting teachers such as Luis Mandoki, Fernando Piernas, Kennedy Brown (Movement Director at the Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles), Shayna Freedman, Fay Simpson (creator of the Lucid Body Method and Studio in New York City) and Héctor Álvarez (Development Director at Theatre Y in Chicago). He also has a Master of Arts in English Literature from Edinburgh University and and a Diploma in Filmmaking from Fana Folkehøgskule in Norway. It was while directing his own short films in college that he discovered his passion for both film and acting. Having taken a deep interest in physical movement more recently, he has also studied contemporary dance with Maxence Rey (director of the Betula Lenta dance company at the Jacques Carat Theatre in Cachan, France), and Butoh with Aura Arreola (from the Sociedad de Carne y Hueso in Mexico City).
