Olivia Beasley is 20 years old and herself profoundly Deaf. She is an advocate, actress and employed as a youth engagement officer at Deaf organisation. Olivia is passionate about sharing awareness and advocates to make Australian Sign Language and Deaf Culture a norm in Australia. She recently attended the World Federation Youth Section Youth Camp to learn Deaf leadership and how to strengthen our local Deaf community. She is pursuing her passion by leading the young community through Victorian Youth Parliament program, she formerly Victorian Youth Governor of 2019. Through her work in the program, she has impacted over 200 young hearing people each year past three years. She loves acting, she aims to produce a type of media to raise awareness of the community, culture and language. She had been working in theatre for over 7 years and recently cast in Unsound as her first film. Regardless of how much time she has on her plate, she dives into all opportunities with enthusiasm and dedication.
