Sophia Mazzella

Sophia Mazzella is a producer, writer, actress, and filmmaker with a degree in Cinema and Media Studies from the University of Southern California. Born and raised in New York City, she grew up around theater backstage doors and remains one of the only New Yorkers to love and defend Times Square. Sophia attended high school at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan where she was awarded the Senior Film Award. She was also a student at The National High School Institute's Cherubs program at Northwestern in 2017 for film and video. At USC, Sophia was executive producer for The Morning Brew. Her script, "Rainy Days" was selected in 2020 by the School of Cinematic Arts to be produced as one of three senior capstone projects. Sophia has been writing, directing, and performing for the past eleven years, creating numerous narrative short films, and feature-length screenplays. She resides in New York.
