Ashley Kilpatrick was born on August 15, 1989, in Nassau, Bahamas to supportive parents who encouraged her creativity. She discovered her knack for poetry and spoken word in high school and began writing and performing her pieces at school talent shows as well as church talent shows. She was always extremely active in her church, Bahamas Faith Ministries, where she was able to hone her acting chops on stage, performing in stage plays during their annual week long Youth Alive conferences. One of her first roles was "Rare" in "The X-Factor" written and directed by Radel Parks. The following year she played the lead "Keisha" in "The Revelation" written by Tyrone Burrows and directed by Radel Parks. Desiring to pursue all of her creative goals, Ashley attended the College of The Bahamas for Fine Arts and later moved to Atlanta, GA in 2009 to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta, there she studied Graphic Design. At the Art Institute she was able to act in Video majors assignments, voiceover for Audio majors and model for Photography majors. Upon graduation, Ashley worked as a Graphic Designer at Georgia Public Broadcasting where she was able to get more on camera experience in the studio. She moved back to The Bahamas in 2013. The passing of her mother in 2014 would prove to be pivotal in her resolve to chase her passion down more intently and with more focus than ever before. She moved back to Atlanta and began taking acting classes at The Alliance Theatre with her mantra in mind and on tongue "Whatever is happening to me is happening for me". She began picking up work as an extra on a few films including The Bobby Brown Story produced by BET and Vavavoom produced by Kimberly Grimes. She acted as "Tonya" in the web series "You Don't Know My Name" written and produced by Erika Lunceford and Amber Smith. Ashley is a talent who possesses a natural gift for acting and telling a story. She is intelligent and always willing to learn from professionals in the industry. Ashley means "life" or "tree of life" which intrinsically informs her acting ability in bringing a script to life.
