Joana-Leona was born in Switzerland and is half Swiss, half Albanian with Spanish roots. She has two twin siblings, who are two years younger than her. Her mother, to whom she has a very close relationship, had her at age of 17 and works as a school director in Zurich. Through the scientific perspective of her father, who mastered in molecular biology and the pedagogical and at the same time psychological point of view of her mother, Joana-Leona encounters the world with a curious and yet open mindset. She graduated college in 2018 and took part in two plays at the KSWIL back in Switzerland. During that period Joana-Leona also took part in the three months program at the School of Arts in Zurich, where she had the chance to work with teachers such as Matthias Frankhauser. Her favorite play she participated in, is called "Mordsfrauen" written by Corina Rues-Benz and directed by Adrian Kaempfer. Joana-Leona graduated at the Lee Strasberg Theater& Film Institute in Los Angeles in 2019. She played the main character in the short film "Follow Your Heart", written and directed by Bao Tram", which hit over one million views on YouTube. Meanwhile Joana-Leona is part of the cast in K11 a German series on Sat1, where she solves crimes together with the famous German actor Michael Naseband. Besides acting she has always been very interested in languages and dialects, which is why she speaks six different languages such as German, Spanish, French, Albanian, Swiss-German and English. She also learned several accents like the typical British accent, Russian accent, German accent or the Spanish accent. After singing on smaller events as a lead singer in the band she was in, she now started to make her own music willing to widen her horizon as a singer but even more so as an actress and improve the craft.
