Elaine Kelly

She grew up in the Turf Lodge area in Belfast and had been a family barrister for over 23 years, who gave up her own law practice in her 40s in October 2014 to enter the religious life, joining the Adoration Sisters. The Convent closed in Belfast in 2019. Elaine and her colleague Martina Purdy then worked as a tour guides for St. Patrick's Way Centre. In December 2021, the centre director confirmed the two women were leaving to join at the Poor Clare's monastery at Faughart in Co Louth.
