Jay Bartlett

Jay's professional music career began at 16 years old with his own music in Counterpoint who released 3 records including Nine Lives and full length album Alive and toured Europe extensively with artists such as Shinedown, Soil and Chris Daughtry during the period of 2008 - 2012 and became an official endorsee of PRS guitars in 2010. Part of the album Alive was produced by platinum producer and now you tube star Rick Beato. During the summer of 2012 Jay helped create a recording studio at Nomadic Films in London as part of their TV project Cyrus Todiwala - The Galleons Of Spice which was released globally on networks such as the History Channel. Jay was the composer of all music on the show including the title track and also engineered and assisted in voice over recordings with the show host Cyrus Todiwala. During the autumn / winter of 2012 Jay also engineered and assisted the first ever recordings for the now world renowned meditation company Headspace with Andy Pudicombe. Jay then joined Cervello a Swedish artist in 2013 which included the release of their self titled album C1 and shows with Steel Panther. Shortly after Jay teamed up with ex April Divine band members to create Blackwater who released a further 3 records Back Home, River and Clockwork mind whilst touring Europe and the U.S with artists such as Tremonti, Otherwise, Halestorm and Steel Panther during the period of 2014 - 2016, Blackwater has since been on hiatus as all members started families and committed to none touring careers in music and entertainment. In the summer of 2016 Jay appeared as himself in 2 episodes of Hooké's second season of their fly fishing adventures around the world, which focused on the Baltic Salmon of Swedish Lapland and the people who live and work with the rivers affectionately called "Laplanders". From 2016 to present Jay has been running his own family business / creative agency with his wife and senior film editor Anna Bartlett, combining their skills in both film and audio production / post production.
