Felix Kalmenson

Felix Kalmenson is an artist & filmmaker. Kalmenson is in an ongoing collaboration with Rouzbeh Akhbari under the name Pejvak. Pejvak and Kalmenson's independent films have screened internationally including at Mostra Sao Paulo International Film Festival, Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Kasseler Dokfest, Doclisboa, L'Alternativa, Moscow International Experimental Film Festival, Sharjah Film Platform, Images Festival, Kyiv International Short Film Festival. They have been awarded the Prix George at the 24th Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur for 'A Passage' and the Trinity Square Video Award at Images Festival for 'A Mountain That Opens Like a Door'. Kalmenson's first solo feature films 'Gamodi', 'Prelude to a Struggle' and 'Seekers of Happiness' which are supported by the Canada Council for the Arts are set to premier in 2022/2023.
