Rianne Pyle is a writer and director who has directed three documentaries. Her most recent documentary, Freedom Day, has screened at several festivals such as Inside Out Toronto and Out on Film. Rockstar, Producer, TankGod, Studio Session (2017) about Tank God a 10 x Platinum hip hop producer, at the Ways of Seeing showcase. Rianne also directed the documentary Vic Barrett: Youth Voice about Vic Barrett, a climate change activist, who is suing the United States government over their climate change policies which premiered at the School of Visual Arts' documentary showcase, Someone You Know. Rianne has also worked as an Assistant Director and Creative Director on several music videos which have accumulated over 5 millions+ views collectively on platforms such as BET Jams and Lyrical Lemonade for artists such as Jay Critch, Farruko, and Milly. Rianne currently works as a Production Coordinator for Oscar nominated and Emmy winning company Our Time Projects. Being a born and raised New Yorker, Rianne is heavily inspired to incorporate the cultural diversity of the communities she inhabits and tell the stories of people of color. From activists to creatives, she loves creating pieces that inspire and serve as accurate and entertaining introductions for young adults of color.
