Rolando García was a Cuban dancer and choreographer who led several dancing acts with various female partners, most notably with gorgeous Ana Gloria Varona in the 1950s. Their act known as Ana Gloria y Rolando, became hugely popular on Cuban television and also as featured dancers at Havana's internationally famous Tropicana Night Club. They were also successful touring the American continent dancing in theaters, night clubs, and on television. Their career was interrupted abruptly in 1959 with the arrival of the communist Cuban revolution. Both artists went into exile, Rolando in Miami, and Ana Gloria in Mexico City, but their reputation as dancers lives on.
