Andrea R Mihailescu

Andrea R. Mihailescu is a writer and director who started her own production company, Thoth Entertainment, in 2019 to produce her short films. In 2018, Andrea studied screenwriting at Georgetown University, and began making films in 2019. Her first feature screenplay, Defection, a spy thriller about a North Korean soldier who sought to defect across the DMZ during heightened U.S.-North Korean tensions placed well in the Final Draft screenplay competition. Andrea has worked for the U.S. government for over 15 years and traveled all over the world, including to South Korea and the DMZ. Andrea lives in Washington, DC.
