Maria Yanagisawa

Maria Yanagisawa is a mixed Japanese/British/Indo-Fijian film actress, singer, and theatre artist born and based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Performance/Acting from Simon Fraser University, and has performed in a variety of films, musicals, and other theatrical and commercial productions. In 2019, Maria was nominated for a Joey Award for Best Actress for her performance in the short film Virgo Rising. Other notable credits include her role as Mara in the film Persephone Mara (YuanBeau Productions) and Hanako in the theatrical production Hanjo (Midtwenties Theatre).
