Mikhala Hoffman

Mikhala Hoffman is a Canadian actress, screenwriter, dancer and choreographer. With the Short Film release of MICKY(2020) coming to a close with its festival premieres during the 2020 season, the film received several nominations and awards such as Exceptional Film Making in the Film Invasion LA film festival and Best Actress Debut in the Prague International Indie Film Festival. Her other short films include Dark Humor(2019) and Conversations Under The Stars(2020), which will premiere in festivals in 2021. This past year she was also featured as a back-up dancer for RnB artist Shad Lorenz for performances in New York City. Continuing to expand her knowledge of the film and television industry during the pandemic she assisted as a production assistant for Cagefighter: Worlds Collide(2020). Mikhala is setting up to produce a feature film she has written alongside her mother with Trilight Entertainment Inc for development in 2021. Mikhala Sarah-Ann Hoffman grew up in rural Regina Saskatchewan with her mom and three siblings. While in Regina, she studied dance and performed in several musicals such as Oliver(2008), The Little Prince(2009), Les Miserables(2010), Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat(2011), and Alice in Wonderland(2012). After much time spent training in dance and musical theatre, Mikhala began to hone into her passion for dance to develop her training for professional pursuits. Leaving home at 14, Mikhala pursued her dream and undertook a pre-professional career in Ballet. While attending The School of Alberta Ballet, she was asked to be in the chorus of the annual Nutcracker(2015) and had her first professional ballet premiere at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Further opportunities called Mikhala out west where her passion for acting grew roots as she performed in Murder on the Nile(2016) and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike(2017). Mikhala finished off her high school career by revisiting her musical theatre roots and performing In The Heights(2017) at the McCarter Theatre before leaving for New York City.
