Amin Pourbarghi

Amin Pourbarghi is an award-winning director and screenwriter; born in an artistic family in Hamadan, Iran. He became interested in cinema with his first coincidental presence in a short film when he was 9 years old. Later, at the age of 16, his artistic career began with his first short film after his graduation from the Iranian Youth Cinema Association. He got his bachelor's degree in Cinema, from Soureh University in Iran. In 2015, after immigrating to Vienna, he studied master of Cinema Directing at Vienna University. During these years he pursued other related activities such as photography, writing, editing and occasionally teaching beside filmmaking. Currently, he is working on his first featured movie, which he has dedicated years of his artistic life to its creation.
