Priyanka Shah

Priyanka Shah is a Mumbai-born, New York-raised writer, producer and content creator. She worked as the lead anchor/producer of the nightly newscast at TV Asia (the oldest South Asian TV Network in North America) for over 5 years. She also helmed 3 original programs during her TV Asia tenure as a showrunner and creator. Ultimately with her eye on original programming she co-founded an independent production company, Rukhs Production and went on to produce content that brings forth South Asian culture through comedy and drama. Early on at Rukhs Production, she became Line Producer of a 30-person cast/crew on a short narrative film titled Hurry Up & Wait, which screened at 7 festivals, including New York Shorts International Festival 2019. Her breakout success as a producer came from the short film titled The Ice Man, with international comedy actor Omi Vaidya (3 Idiots, The Office), which secured screening rights at more than 15 global film festivals. Following the successful collaboration, she and Omi went on to create a music video - Oak Tree Road which stands at more than 100K views on YouTube. Her latest project is the hit Eros Now web series Metro Park. As the Unit Production Manager of this 12 episode season, she has established herself as an accomplished Producer. Her future endeavors include continuing to produce entertaining and diverse content for streaming platforms, one of such is a spec pilot, Resident Aliens, created with a team of equally passionate creative producers.
