Gamal Castile

Gamal Castile grew up idolizing action superstars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford and Bruce Lee. These role models inspired him to pursue his dreams, driving him toward a path of discipline and self-determination. At a young age, he followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a police officer. During his 13 years in law enforcement, Gamal served 12 years as a patrol rifle operator and five years as a field training officer. He became a hand-to-hand combat instructor and community outreach officer. Shortly after retiring from the police force, with most of his life still ahead of him, Gamal embarked on a new career. His Egyptian heritage made him a natural to play the role of the god Anubis in the comedy thriller "Shakespeare's Mummy," set for release in 2021. Gamal has attracted great interest from a variety of film and television producers who seek to utilize his mastery of various weapons and fighting styles. Gamal has a black belt in Shotokan Karate, having studied the martial arts for 20 years. He is a certified instructor through the American Shotokan Karate Alliance. Gamal launched his martial arts career in childhood, winning the AAU Missouri Teenage Karate Championship in 1989 and 1990. These were just the first awards Gamal would win for his physical abilities. An expert bodybuilder, Gamal has won a slew of competitions, including 1st place victories in the 2016 NPC Midwest Bodybuilding Championship and the 2018 Missouri State Bodybuilding Championship. When he is not competing, Gamal helps other people realize their potential through his personal training consultation business. Gamal has the body of Spartan warrior - and the fighting ability to match. Anyone who doubts that can attend one of the lectures on ancient Greek warfare that he gives at universities across the nation. Gamal dresses in authentic ancient Hoplite armor and uses meticulously recreated Greek weapons to bring history to life in front of packed audiences. His fascination with history is more than a hobby. Gamal received certification as a history teacher and holds teaching degrees in social studies and health education. All these achievements take a back seat to Gamal's greatest accomplishment - raising his 8-year-old daughter. A single dad, Gamal considers fatherhood to be his life's primary focus. He is raising his daughter to have the same sense of strength and determination that continues to carry Gamal through the adventure of life.
