Lin Yin is an Australian-born actor of Chinese descent and speaks fluent Mandarin. Lin spent her early years in Melbourne and eventually lived in Belgium, USA and China. She grew up playing piano, swimming and at age 16 trained in Kung Fu and weapons at the Shi Cha Hai Sports School in Beijing. She holds a Bachelor degree in Media Communications and Psychology from the University of Melbourne. In 2018 Lin appeared in major feature film The Whistleblower, the biggest Chinese-Australian co production to ever be shot in Australia. Soon after Lin was cast as Freya in the critically acclaimed Australian TV series Flunk, soon to return for Season 3. She has also played the lead in short films Bowl of Tears and I Am Awake, Always. Lin has a Diploma in Musical Theatre and has also trained at the the Actor's Temple in the Meisner Technique and at The Actors Centre in London.
