Samantha Allsop is a British, Australian based actor, athlete, model and musician with Greek heritage. She is currently starring in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) alongside Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Russell Crowe, directed by Taika Waititi. In 2022, she recently wrapped filming the SBS pilot Appetite, and stars in the acclaimed short film Yellow Jack (2021). Samantha undertook training at the Bristol Old Vic, England, where she studied classical and contemporary acting, voice, movement, improvisation, text and dance, as well as Shakespeare. She also graduated from Durham University with a bachelors degree (with honours) in Classical Greek and Roman languages, literature, mythology, philosophy and theatre. As a singer, she trained at the Northern Opera School, England and has over seven years of private singing and piano tuition. In Australia, she trains with acclaimed screen actor, producer and tutor Les Chantery, and completed multiple short courses in screen acting at the renowned National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), Sydney. Her dialect tuition is undertaken by leading dialect & voice coach Jennifer White. Samantha has qualifications in multiple extreme sports including solo paragliding, rock climbing and scuba diving, competing nationally in triathlons and marathons. As a successful model she has been honoured to work for Vogue, Elle, Women's Health and Grazia.
