Melina Alessandra Cermeno

Melina Alessandra Cermeno is a 15-year- old Latinx actor and dancer from Vancouver B.C, Canada. Half Guatemalan and half Nicaraguan, Melina is a driven and hardworking actress bringing representation to the screen. Melina is a bilingual English and Spanish speaking actress. Melina fell in love with acting at the age of 6, with her first love being musical theatre. She trained at Arts Umbrella in their musical theatre intensive, where she knew that performing and being on stage was her passion. She became a triple threat, where she could now sing, dance and act. On the stage is where Melina feels most at home, and thus her dream to move to New York City and go to NYU blossomed. When Melina turned 11, her seriousness and commitment to on-camera acting for film and television became something she wanted to do full time. She booked her first commercial for Disney in 2017, and after that she knew that she loved being on camera. Musical theatre was her start, but on camera acting was what she knew she wanted to dedicate herself to. Melina's first passion was also dancing, she has done extensive dance training in many different styles, including ballet, jazz, ballroom, (waltz, foxtrot, cha-cha, rumba, etc.) contemporary, and hip hop. She still continues training hard every week for her love for hip hop, and has improved greatly since first starting. With a love for public speaking and being her naturally funny self, Melina posts videos monthly on her YouTube channel! Melina loves making people laugh on camera and in real life, comedy is something that she's always had in her. Now in grade 10 and with a resume with remarkable bookings, (The Terror, Gabby Duran and the Unsittables, The Good Doctor) Melina has gained amazing experience, training, and many lessons on her continued journey. She has so much to show and offer to the entertainment industry and is truly driven to completing all her life goals.
