Tom Larramendy

Born in 1997 in France, Tom has always had a passion for filmmaking. His first contact with audiovisual making was made through his father who has been working in a major French public television channel. Tom first went to the University of Bordeaux where he obtained a International Bachelor's Degree in Physics & Chemistry, and biology. At the age of 21, Tom made a year abroad at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he developed his filmmaking skills through various courses, helped by talented professors and UCLA's resources. He also got involved as a Director of Photography on several short movies in UCLA's largest film club. In 2021, during the Covid-19 pandemic, Tom moved to Montreal, Canada, to complete his education at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema, at Concordia University. Asides of his studies, Tom got involved on many professional productions as a gaffer; a cherished job, due to Tom's passion for technology and lighting for cinema. The strength of having both a creative vision and a Cartesian approach helped him exploring cinematographic arts through well mastered practice and tools.
