Grady Long

Grady Long is an American singer born December 4, 1978. He is known for the song "Ajayya Shakthi" from the Malayalam film "Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapthakam" (2019). Grady Long was born in a small town in South Dakota to a musically gifted family of Irish and Norwegian descent. He began singing and performing in public at the age of 4 while traveling with his family across the US. Growing up he found that he greatly enjoyed many genres of American and World music. Grady has recently sung playback for the Malayalam feature film "Vaarikkuzhiyile Kolapthakam" which marks the 1st time a Non-Indian has sung playback for an Indian film completely in the native language. He is known for his performance of the super viral hit "Aayiram Kannumai" in 2016 that garnered over 2 million views on Facebook within 36 hours. Grady recently made his acting debut in the 2019 Malayalam movie "An International Local Story" as well. Grady brings his own style of singing and performance to music. He is known for his ability to sing multiple genres, (R&B, Gospel, Rock, Operatic, Pop, Jazz) as well as his ability to record and perform in many languages (eg. Spanish, French, Portuguese) as well as multiple Indian languages with great proficiency (eg. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam) He enjoys creating new sounds by adding a distinct flare to the fusion of Eastern and Western musical styles while maintaining a deep respect and love of more traditional Indian music.
