Priyankar Patra

Priyankar Patra is a film producer from Calcutta, India, working with For Films, an independent Indian film production company started by Indian filmmaker, Aditya Vikram Sengupta. His most recent venture, Once Upon A Time In Calcutta, directed by Aditya Vikram Sengupta, premiered at the 78th Venice International Film Festival in the Orizzonti Competition. Priyankar is also developing Birthmark, a five-country co-production. The project has been a part of HAF - Hong Kong Film Financing Forum and the Gap Financing Market, Venice Production Bridge at the 78th Venice International Film Festival. Priyankar is a graduate of the MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage from Northwestern University, Evanston, USA, and the Television Academy (Emmys) fellowship program. Additionally, he was also one of the six selected participants of the Locarno Industry Academy's South Asian chapter done in collaboration with NFDC FilmBazaar, meant for the new generation of producers, sales agents and film festival programmers.
