Amanda Taylor is a Nashville based singer/songwriter. She is a powerful and charismatic performer garnering thousands of fans and admirers. Along with her acclaimed lead guitarist mother, Paula Jo Taylor, they form the duo, "The Taylors" performing regularly in the honky-tonks of lower Broadway in Nashville along with their "Mama Tried Band." Born in Fort Wayne Indiana into a musical family, Amanda's love and passion for country music began at an early age when she started performing with her family band at the age of thirteen. She spent her high school years as lead singer, during which time she performed to an audience of over 20,000 and opened for Sandi Patti at a Rally for the Troops. After high school she moved to Nashville and attended the prestigious Belmont University where she majored in Music Business and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She worked at Sony Music Nashville as well as Smokin' Grapes Music Publishing, all while performing in Nashville's hottest touring district. Amanda has performed live several times on Nashville's legendary WSM radio station, home of the Grand Ole Opry, as well as The Country Music Hall of Fame. She has been featured on Nashville's '615 Hideaway' for RFD-TV, and her original song "Plans Change" was featured on Nashville's WSMV-TV as well as her hometown ABC affiliate in Fort Wayne, IN. She has played in Las Vegas and has opened for such legendary artists as David Ball, Bryan White, and Gretchen Wilson, among others.
