Zohar Ballas was born in Tel Aviv, 1990. Served in the Israeli Air Force. She holds a B.Ed.F.A in Film and Education from Seminar Hakibbutzim College (2019). Produced and directed documentary and fiction short films, and music video clips. Her short "If He Was a She" was screened at an exhibition in Paris and at the 2018 Epos Festival in Israel. "A Unicorn in Tel Aviv" (her final project which she wrote and directed) was screened in 20 international festival all over the world, and won Best Comedy Short, Best Cinematography, Special Jury Award, and was given three Honorable Mentions. The film was produced with the support from the New Israeli Foundation for Cinema and Television. She was the Art Director in The Paz Band's new releases video clips "Scratching My Bones", and "Concrete sky", 2021. During her studies she issued a Teaching License and a Teaching Certificate. Between the years 2018-2021 she worked as a Cinema teacher in Arison Campus, School of the Arts. These days she is working on developing "A Unicorn in Tel Aviv" into a TV series.
