Anandi threw herself into the world of media when she decided to become a film editor. She held a long-time fascination with how things worked behind the scenes. She became a graduate of Long Island University (Brooklyn Campus), receiving her Master's degree in Media Arts in 2011. She didn't stay in the field but in 2019, Dr. Annie N Mundeke, PhD, mentioned that she was looking for someone to bring a book that she wrote to life. A colleague mentioned Anandi's name and with one recommendation Gangaram was back in the media world helping to bring someone's dream to life. Anandi co-wrote, co-produced, and acted in the short, "To Love or Not to Love" alongside director, writer, and producer Demedrius Charles. The film was selected to show at the Chelsea Film Festival in October. After that, Gangaram worked with Mr. Charles on another project of his (scheduled for release in 2020) but she doubts she will remain in the media world for long. Anandi reflects, "To my first crew I ever worked with while doing my thesis, I apologize for all my mistakes. I was learning all that I didn't know and I take you with me everywhere I go to not repeat them. Thank you. And to everyone else, moving forward, life is meant to be happy. Let's have fun." Anandi holds a Baccalaureate degree from New York City College of Technology in Human Services.
