Pouria Takavar born on December 31, 1995 in Tehran, Iran. Pouira began his career as a child actor in commercials. In 2001, at the age of 6 he made his directorial debut with the short film "Toy Store" for which he received a Young Artist Award from Roshd International Film Festival in 2002. He has written and directed eight short films and 2 documentaries for which he won several Iranian short film awards including the Best Short Film at the 13th Nahal international Student Short Film, in 2015. He first received international acclaim in 2017 for his Documentary film "Zeytoon" which premiered at the 2017 Zoom-Zblizenia International Film Festival. Pouria attracted international attention with his Instagram series "Tehrun" in 2016, which he wrote, directed, cinematographed, edited at the age of 21, using funds from his extensive work as an editor. Tehrun is an Instagram Series of 90 episodes of 1 min length. In March 23, 2018, Pouria entered the development phase with arte fr and Laonda Prods for his next web series "Happiness". The series follows a teenage 17-year-old girl who is in the quest of happiness in a county like Iran. Meantime, he directed the music video for Ashkan Khatibi's hit single "Dasteto Bede Man" in 2020. Happiness is selected to compete in the Formats Courts Section at the 2021 Festival Séries Mania, International TV Series Festival. "Happiness" will be exploited on several social media (specifically on arte_asuivre Instagram page), platforms and digital media by arte France.
