Joseph Brooks was born June 15th 1968 on San Antonio's notorious east side, where gangs, drugs and violence ruled, he grew up an only child and was bullied severely, which led to low self esteem and depression. He would overcome those low feelings by lifting cinder blocks in his front yard to build muscles and confidence, losing his father to cancer at age 11 dealt a severe blow to he and his mom, who he took care of until she died, Joseph was 18. Although growing up in a rough neighborhood, Joseph avoided gangs and drugs by joining the football team and taking a drama class where he would star in his high school stage play, Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird," playing the role of Atticus Finch. after high school, being alone, Joseph searched for his purpose and found it in health and wellness, using his passion to help others live a better quality of life, building a small fitness studio into a huge success, becoming a fitness expert featured on San Antonio's popular variety show SA live. Joseph is an actor, motivational speaker and author, he has been the featured guest on many national and local Podcast addressing subjects from relationships to business. He is the author of "The Value of a Single Woman" and creator of "Impact" an after school fitness program for at-risk youth like he was. Joseph honors God for his success and teaches people that "It isn't how you start but how you finish," which he covers in his keynote speech, extraordinary life story "From Welfare to Well being." Joseph is most excited about his role as "Doc" Brown in JD's Grandmaster and credits director/Choreographer/actor Joemer Dulatre with his opportunity to play this role. Joseph resides in San Antonio TX with his wife Adriana they have 5 adult children.
