Ela Acur

Ela Acur is an award winning actress, writer, producer and director showcasing her talents on both Film and Theater in NY and D.C. Her self motivated works originally started with a one-act play called Obsession. She wrote, produced and acted in that dark drama which was picked by NY Winter Festival and was performed at Hudson Guild Theatre in February 2018. Her short film Restless which she wrote, produced, directed and acted in got accepted into the Big Apple Film Festival as part of Female Filmmakers Series, Fall Edition 2019. She won the Best Female Filmmaker Merit Award in the International NY Film Festival and Best Actress in Drama in the Brightside Film Festival for her performance in it. She also received a nomination in Best Director category at the same festival which was her very first time as a director. Aside from acting world, she holds a bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering and a Master's degree in Infrastructure and Civil Engineering from George Mason University in Virginia. She was born in June 11th, and is a huge soccer fan residing in NY.
