Crush are a British pop music duo from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Comprising of Jayni Hoy and Donna Air, their music career was launched on the back of their success in the British children's TV drama, Byker Grove (1989), in the same vain as PJ & Duncan. The group's debut single, "Jellyhead," was released in February 1996 and was a minor success in both the UK and US charts, reaching 50 and 72, respectively. A second single, "Luv'd Up," reached 45 in the UK a few months later, followed by the release of their debut album, "Teenage Kicks". In late-1996, Jayni left the group and was replaced by English-Italian singer, Luciana. Their second album, "Crush", was released in 1997, but did not fare well, and the duo spit shortly after. Donna returned to acting, whilst Luciana continued in the music business, firstly as the lead singer of the short-lived British pop-rock band, Shooter, in the late-1990s, and then as a collaborative artist with many different record producers and beat makers from the mid-2000s to present.
