Steven Tress

Steven Tress was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 1962. After studying in the B.Sc. program for two years at York University, majoring in Computer Science, he decided to go to law school and embark on a legal career. During his time at Osgoode Hall Law School, he developed a passion for immigration law and criminal defense, and has been serving clients in those areas of practice ever since his graduation in 1986. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Toronto Lawyers Association. He has been active with various sections and committees of the Canadian Bar Association (Ontario), including: Criminal Justice Section Executive Immigration Law Section Joint Committee on Court Reform Advisory Committee to the Attorney General of Ontario Annual Institute Committee Continuing Legal Education Committee He has lectured for various Criminal Law and Immigration Law programs, as well as served as an instructor at Herzing College's Paralegal Program, Academy of Learning Immigration Consultant Program and the Law Society of Upper Canada's Bar Admission Course.
