John Connor Hammond

John is a two-time Webby Nominated writer, director, and producer based out of Brooklyn, NY, and Los Angeles, CA. He found my way into filmmaking through performing comedy and improv at places like The Second City in Toronto and The PIT in New York City. After graduating from Parsons, with a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Film, he moved behind the camera to direct. Today, John runs his creative agency and production company, Studio 181. Studio 181 produces traditional commercial work, marketing content, and independent shorts/feature films. Most recently, John was selected as a director in the SHOOT 19th Annual New Directors Showcase, he has been awarded 2 Vimeo Staff Picks, and nominated for 2 Webby Awards. His work has been featured at festivals internationally like Slamdance, London Short Film Festival, Brussels Independent Film Festival, and more.
