Dana Ballout

Dana is a Lebanese-American documentary producer, podcaster and investigative journalist who has worked with some of the biggest media companies in the world including The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, Netflix, Al Jazeera English, and others. Before moving into documentary she was a reporter for The Wall Street Journal in Beirut where she covered the Syrian war and its resulting refugee crisis. Most recently, she is a producer on new documentary series for National Geographic on illegal markets around the world. Dana grew up in Lebanon, speaks English and Arabic. She is also an editor and producer for Kerning Cultures, a podcast dissecting the complex narratives around the Middle East and North Africa.
