Marilyn is a Salvadoran filmmaker based in San Francisco and L.A. Her artistic career started as a kid, when she worked as a child actor and presenter for El Salvador, T.V.E. 10 Education Program "La Hora del Niño". At 15, Marilyn Started coaching new talent and helping producers to create scripts. Marilyn Studied Theater and flew to San Francisco to pursue a degree in Cinema. Marilyn graduated with Honors from the SFSU Cinema program where she had the opportunity to hone her creative abilities, producing various student short films, including some for the MFA program. As a filmmaker, Marilyn is interested in exploring stories that deal with identity, womanhood, and immigration. In 2019, Marilyn helped to produce a short Documentary Experimental film about the Immigrant Caravan in Tijuana.
