Walter Ching

Walter Cheng is a writer and director based in Auckland, New Zealand. With years of experience creating videos for multiple platforms, he decided to utilize his skills in storytelling. Recognizing the attributes of a good director, Walter studied cinematography, directing, sound design, and editing, but prioritized his study of writing. He has been practising and experimenting with a variety of filmmaking techniques by making short films over the past few years to refine his storytelling craft. He has also received multiple awards in 48HOUR and Northland Short Film competitions for his cinematography and editing and technical skills. Finding stories from different cultural backgrounds and telling unique stories are his main interests. His goal has always been to "make films that can change the world."
