Ella has completed her first role in a horror/suspense film shot in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is currently in post-production (2022). Ella Grace started her career with an award-winning international film, Five Pounds of Pressure (2020). She has won the Berlin International Art Film Award for Best Youth Actor (2021)in her debut film, Five Pounds of Pressure. On November 7th, 2021 was awarded Best Youth Actor and shared Best Acting Duo at Hollywood Blood Horror Festival for her short film 5 Pounds of Pressure which has won 21 International Festival Awards and two nominations. On October 14th, 2003, Ella was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Kate and Colin Hicks. She resided there until the age of 5, when she moved to Port Williams, Nova Scotia. In 2018 she attended a session at Ross Creek Centre of the Arts, inhabiting the Space through Mask and Improv, and studied with an acting coach, Kirstin Howell. Ella has always had a love and passion for film and has wanted to be an actress since she was a little girl. She fell in love with acting at the age of 14 while working as a photo double and stand-in on the Locke and Key pilot for Hulu. She has also done background work on Mr. D's award-winning television series, starring Gerry Dee. She has recently played a lead role in the 2020 short film, 5 Pounds of Pressure, alongside her co-stars, Kevin Jollimore and Thomas Durfee. She played the role of The Hitcher, a young hitchhiker with a plan who meets a suicidal killer in need of one. She described working on the film as: "...An amazing opportunity and experience for me as a young actor. Getting to play such an intense role at a young age helped boost my confidence in the film industry. I am honored to have worked with such an amazing cast and crew who have helped me along the way. Thomas and Kevin are incredible actors, and I could not have asked for better co-stars. I am truly thankful to Five Pounds of Pressure's producer/writer/director Liam Petite for choosing me to play such a complex character."
