Charles Frederick "Fred" Kalamaja was born 13 December 1936 in Omaha, Gouglas County, Nebraska, USA and died of cancer on 2 March 1998 in Des Monies, Polk County, Iowa, USA. His parents were Theodore Joseph Kalamaja (1907-1989) and Cecilia Mary Kalamaja (Nee McCreary) (1909-1975). Brothers James F. Kalamaja (1941-2002), Ted Kalamaja, and sister Mary Louise Potter (1948-2019). He was married to Judi, and had four daughters - Lisa Kalamaja, Jena Pepper, Jennifer Kalamaja Megan Kalamaja, and son Jim Kalamaja. Fred had been a production manager, a puppeteer and artist on WOI-TV's "The House with the Magic Window", and played "Boris Kutchyourheadoffski" on the WOI-TV's "Son of Gravesend Manor" in the 1970's. His final job before retirement was a mail supervisor for "Allied Group". His funeral service was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Farifield.
